Does building muscle make you faster in the cage – or slower?
One of the seminars at the European Combat Sports Festival will be led by Rasmus Klaos: IFBB Junior World Championship silver medalist in Men's Physique, Estonian champion, multiple-time Estonian Cup winner in bodybuilding and Men's Physique, and a personal trainer who works with athletes on strength and sport-specific preparation.
This seminar answers the three questions every combat athlete eventually runs into: how to train strength without losing speed, when to fit it into a fight camp, and why it matters for performance and injury prevention.
During the seminar, you will learn:
- How to build muscle and strength without slowing down your striking or grappling.
- When to place strength sessions in a training week so they don't interfere with technical work.
- Why body composition matters for making weight without sacrificing power.
- How prehab and smart loading keep you training year-round.
This seminar is designed for combat sports athletes, coaches, and sports enthusiasts who want a clear, practical answer to how strength training should look for a fighter.
