Anti-doping – Tiidt, Kormik, Perli

One supplement can end your career.

As part of the European Combat Sports Festival, the Estonian Center for Integrity in Sports (ESTCIS), Estonia's centre of expertise for fair, ethical, and safe sport, runs a seminar in two parts. This is part one: Clean Sport, Our Shared Responsibility.

It is led by three ESTCIS specialists: Teele Tiidt, Education Manager and performance nutritionist for Team Estonia; Remo Perli, Chief Investigative Officer with a background in the Estonian Police and the Corruption Crimes Bureau; and Karolin Kormik, Communications Manager, long-time football player, and former referee.

Most doping cases in combat sports don't start with a decision to cheat. They start with a contaminated supplement, an unchecked medication, or a weight-cut shortcut someone recommended in the gym.

During the seminar, you will learn:

  • What is actually on the prohibited list.
  • How to check supplements and medications before taking them.
  • How testing works.
  • What your rights and obligations are.

This seminar is designed for athletes, coaches, club leaders, and parents of young fighters who want to protect their health, their results, and their sport.

Fair and clean play starts with you, but succeeds through all of us.
