Nobody kicks like a taekwondo fighter. Come learn why.
As part of the European Combat Sports Festival, Estonian national taekwondo team coach Kazbulat Šogenov – head of Katleri Taekwondo Club and coach of European champions – leads an open training session in Tallinn.
Šogenov has spent two decades building kickers, from first belt to European gold, and competed at world level himself. In a sport where the legs do most of the work, taekwondo has refined speed, flexibility, and kicking mechanics further than any other discipline – and that skill transfers straight into kickboxing, K-1, and MMA.
On the mat, you will work on:
- Kicking mechanics – hip rotation, chambering, and balance that make kicks fast and hard.
- Spinning and jumping kicks, broken down step by step so they actually land.
- Distance and timing – how to score from range before the opponent closes.
- Flexibility and footwork drills you can take back to any striking gym.
This open training is for all levels and all disciplines – taekwondo practitioners, kickboxers, and MMA fighters who want to sharpen their kicking game.
