When he finally decided to start training, he was already certain that his goal wasn\u2019t just to remain an amateur. \u201cBefore my first training session, I had a clear plan: I wanted to make it to major competitions. Once I started training, there was no turning back\u2014the drive was already there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"fight-quote\">\n  <p>&quot;I always want to give it my all and at least try to move in that direction.&quot;<\/p>\n  <cite>\u2014 Karol-Kenneth Lootus<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lootus makes no secret of the fact that he\u2019s drawn to big challenges. \u201cI always want to give it my all and at least try to move in that direction. No result comes about solely on competition day\u2014behind it are days and weeks of sticking to the plan. \u201cDiscipline is the foundation of everything. You come to the gym every day and show up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"fight-quote\">\n  <p>&quot;Discipline is the foundation of everything. Everything you eat counts. Combat sports have helped build self-confidence, self-motivation, and the ability to work on the areas where a person feels most insecure. \u201cThis sport reveals your weaknesses and begins to shape your life. Photo: Risto \u0160tukert<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She sees one of the sport\u2019s greatest values in overcoming the toughest moments. \u201cIf you feel you\u2019re weaker in a certain area, the sport helps you address it. If you can push through those challenges, you\u2019ll keep moving toward improvement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adaptability Is Key on Competition Night<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outside the ring, Lootus is energetic and fun-loving, but when it\u2019s time to compete, he has to be able to switch gears quickly. For him, this is one of the most interesting aspects of combat sports. \u201cYou can be yourself, but express yourself differently. Backstage, I can be fun and crack jokes; when I step out, I put on a little show; and once I\u2019m in the ring, it all clicks.\u201d The same skill helps in other situations as well. \u201cIt\u2019s adaptability. The fight night, which began in P\u00e4rnu, is coming to Tallinn and the Unibet Arena this year. \u201cThis time, The Clash will be bigger than ever before. We\u2019ll have great athletes, great matchups, and great fights.
